| Montreal was the perfect city to hold Dance Madness, and the McGill's Moise Hall Auditorium was the perfect venue. Connie Darling, a one time Karate, and Judo expert, decided that mopdern dance was where he would explore. He created Shango, his experimental dance company and Ihor was asked to produce a dance concept that Connie had in mind for long time: a public dance event exploring only modern dance. Billed as Dance Madness, invited dance companies played to sold out performances at the university auditorium. Most performers never danced on any stage together before. Les Ballet Jazz Contemporains, Le Groupe de la Nouvel'aire, Lionel Kilner and Company, and Shango were the invited performing compainies.
